Toronto singer-songwriter
Alex McCulloch is a singer-songwriter from Scarborough who grew up singing blues, soul and jazz. These days she's a folk singer, often writing songs about love, bourbon and insanity and covering lots of Bruce Springsteen. Alex has fiery personality and a powerful voice that combines with vulnerable songs that lay her heart bare. A tough young woman who cut her teeth in the Toronto music scene, expect to be surprised, moved and entertained by the quality of songwriting and performance by this "confessional liar." Her first album Bourbon and Love Songs was released in 2022. Her upcoming single "Gregory" off her forthcoming sophomore album was released Friday November 15, 2024, with a single release party scheduled for Saturday November 16, 4-7pm, at Sauce on the Danforth, in Toronto's East End.
